We are pleased to announce the 2013 North East Structure Symposium (NESS). This annual symposium series during the New England  'Fall Foliage Season' is intended as a venue to share expertise on new methodologies and developments in structural biology.  We anticipate that the meeting will offer an opportunity for students and senior investigators to foster new interactions and collaborations.

Each year's symposium covers a defined topic.  The subject of this year is Structural Biology of Cancer. Conformational rearrangements of proteins and their assemblies are prerequisite for nearly every process in a living cell. The past decade has brought about cutting-edge experimental techniques that provide atomic resolution view of biomolecular processes such as protein folding, enzymatic catalysis, allosteric transition and binding. The latest developments on the frontiers of the field will be covered in lectures by distinguished invited speakers. The symposium will also feature a poster-session for students and post-doctoral fellows with prizes awarded for the best posters. Please share information about NESS with colleagues that might be interested in this event.

Our special partner this year is Agilent Technologies

After the Friday NESS meeting, Agilent is offering a half day Protein Crystallography Workshop at the UConn Medical Center

with emphasis on enhancing both new and experienced researcherŐs understanding of protein crystallography.

This workshop is free of charge. Information about the workshop and registration can be found on the following link:
